We have another great week planned for #acpfest starting on Wednesday with our Film Series screening of "Through a Lens Darkly" at SCADshow as part of BronzeLens Film Festival, with a one-of-a-kind multimedia outreach event on Saturday afternoon: Digital Diaspora Family Reunion at WCAC.
Through a Lens Darkly is the first documentary (and multimedia outreach project) that explores how African American communities have used the medium of photography to construct political, aesthetic, and cultural representations of themselves and their world. Thomas Allen Harris’s acclaimed film is a chronicle of the incredible influence images have had in shaping perceptions about race.
Friday night brings the ACP Spotlight Series: "An Evening with the Bitter Southerner", where three local photographers; Aaron Coury, Amanda Greene & Zach Wolfe will be speaking their work with & for the Bitter Southerner. (Please note, this event is on Friday, which is a change from the printed Festival Guide.)
And if you participated in the My Atlanta Exhibition at Piedmont Park, please pick-up your photos from 10am-1pm!
