Yousuf Karsh: American Portraits at the Carter Museum, opens Feb. 19

"Monday, Feb. 19 - Yousuf Karsh: American Portraits exhibition opens in the Carter Museum. This exhibition of more than 48 portraits created by renowned photographer Yousuf Karsh features iconic photographs of Americans who have distinguished themselves in fields as diverse as business, medicine, entertainment, politics and the arts. Among the portraits included were those of artist Georgia O’Keeffe, physician and virologist Jonas Salk, singer Marian Anderson, actress Grace Kelly, businesswoman Elizabeth Arden, architect I. M. Pei and first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. The exhibition runs through May 20, 2018 and is included at no extra charge in the normal museum admission.

Tuesday, Feb. 20 - Karsh is History - Film Screening and exhibit tour. Join us for a free screening of the documentary "Karsh is History" about legendary photographer Yousuf Karsh as told through his breathtaking portraits. Following the hour long film, visitors will be able to tour the new exhibition Yousuf Karsh: American Portraits. (7pm in the museum theater)"
