ACP 12 Festival Guide is now available online!

ACP PROGRAMS - Portfolio Review Added in 2005 at the request of photographers, the ACP Portfolio Review and Walk offers artists the opportunity to meet with highly respected curators, dealers, editors, and agency representatives from across the United States. A lecture by one of the reviewers is also included. The Portfolio Walk (following the review sessions) gives participating photographers the opportunity to present their work to the general public at an evening reception, open to all.

Sponsored in part by Turner Broadcasting and their "Turner Voices" initiative, 16 reviewers and 52 artists will meet on Saturday, Oct. 16th, 2010 at Grady High School in Atlanta. Each artist will meet with four reviewers for twenty minutes each. Last year we had twice as many applicants as available spots in the review. Each application will be evaluated by ACP and a third-party judge.

Successful registrants for the ACP 12 Portfolio Review will be notified the week of July 26th, 2010. The cost of the review is $250.

ACP 11 Portfolio Review Lecture
Michelle Dunn Marsh from Aperture
"The publishing world has changed more in the last five years than in the previous five centuries; what does this mean to the segment that is photo book publishing? Michelle Dunn Marsh will discuss some of the joys and challenges in the process of making art books today, including insights on the investment publishers and museums make in each book, the importance in considering what makes a great book, not just a portfolio of photographs, the evolutionary stages from a few prints to a finished book and the years in between, the new opportunities in self-producing books, and most important, the eternal joy and critical importance of experiencing photography in book form. Examples from a variety of books will be shown, and questions are most welcome."
