Peyton Fulford is an American photographer born and raised in Georgia. She received a BFA in Photography at Columbus State University in 2017. Through her attentiveness to detail and nuance, her images piece together stories of human connection and the surrounding environment. Whether it is traveling overseas to new terrain or shooting in the familiar southern landscape, she always leads with a sense of tender curiosity as she represents every facet of the subject in front of the lens. Peyton sets her sight on a diverse range of extraordinary, thought-provoking and at times even controversial narratives that bring to the surface an honest portrayal of everyday life.
Her photography has been shown world-wide in solo and group exhibitions including Labs New Artists II at Red Hook Labs, Photo London at Somerset House, and Photo Vogue Festival at Base Milano. She is recipient of the Women Photograph + Nikon Grant (2020), Firecracker Photographic Grant (2018) and finalist of the Inge Morath Award given by Magnum Photos.
