The world is changing, and photography is responding to our rapidly shifting world. Fine art photography is finding its way into advertising and editorial features, while fashion, documentary and journalistic photography have found their rightful place in galleries and museums.

It’s in this spirit that we’re pleased to announce that the ACP [virtual] Portfolio Review delivers the opportunity to discuss your work with industry leaders from galleries, museums, publishing, journalism, and across the commercial, editorial and educational spectrum. Register today!

Andy Adams – Curator & Director, FlakPhoto Projects
Andy Adams is an independent curator + writer whose work explores contemporary ideas in visual culture. He directs FlakPhoto Projects, a digital/arts lab focused on promoting photography in all of its forms.
Kainaz Amaria – Visuals Editor, Vox
As Visuals Editor, Kainaz runs an interdisciplinary team specializing in graphics, interactives, photography, data and design. Previously, she was an editor on NPR’s Visual Team. Before all the desk jobs, she was a freelance photojournalist based in Mumbai, India.
Rob Beinner – Photography Producer & Editor
Essentially, I’m a visual collaborator. I spent over two decades working with editors, writers, photographers & art directors at Vanity Fair magazine in NYC producing portraits on location worldwide from Anchorage to Timbuktu. Recently, special projects for Netflix and Apple keep me busy and happy.
Honore Brown – Senior Photo Editor, Wonderful Machine
Honore is an experienced photo editor who worked in NYC as a studio manager for celebrity and fashion photographer Max Vadukul before moving on to a position at The New Yorker. At Wonderful Machine Honore’s role as a Senior Photo Editor involves print and website edits, as well as creative coaching.
Coco Conroy – Gallery Director, Jackson Fine Art
Coco Conroy is the director of Jackson Fine Art, a gallery in Atlanta, GA specializing in 20th-century and contemporary photography. She has been with the gallery since 2014, and advises Atlanta clients and focuses on local collaborations and artist relationships.
Allen Cooley – Creative Director & Photographer
Based in Atlanta, GA specializing in Commercial and Beauty photography. Allen Cooley has had the pleasure of shooting for top brands & people like Procter & Gamble, Viacom, Magic Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Toni Braxton, to name a few.
Arnika Dawkins – Owner, Arnika Dawkins Gallery
Arnika Dawkins is the owner of her eponymous fine art photography gallery established in 2012 in Atlanta, GA. She shows work by talented emerging and mid-career artists specializing in showing fine art photography by African Americans and images of people from the African Diaspora.
Jon Dean – Editor in Chief, WUSSY Mag
Originally from Columbus GA, Jon received a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2015, he created Wussy Mag, an Atlanta-based publication spotlighting Queer art and pop culture.
Polly Irungu – Founder, Black Women Photographers
Multimedia journalist, digital editor, and self-taught photographer Polly Irungu is the founder of Black Women Photographers, a global community and online database of Black women and non-binary photographers.
Maria Kelly – Curatorial Assistant of Photography, High Museum of Art
Maria L. Kelly is the Curatorial Assistant of Photography at the High Museum of Art and the Collection Manager for The Sir Elton John Photography Collection. She specializes in contemporary photography and holds a MA in art history from Columbia University and a BA from the University of Georgia.
Cameron Kirkland – Cam Kirk Studios & Collective Gallery
Cam Kirk found his passion for photography and directing. Cam Kirk has produced work for Nike, Beats by Dre, New Era Caps, Atlantic Records, Epic Records, Interscope Records, Gucci Mane, T.I., Migos, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Metro Boomin, Rae Sremmurd, 2 Chainz, Future, Young Thug, Zaytoven and more.
Shane Lavalette – Artist and Co-founder, Assembly
Shane Lavalette is an artist and the Co-founder of Assembly, a global platform supporting a roster of lens-based artists across the fine art and commercial fields. Previously, Lavalette worked as the Director of the non-profit organization Light Work.
Tara Pixley – Independent Photojournalist & Photo Editor
Tara Pixley, Ph.D. is a photojournalist based in Los Angeles. Her writing and photography have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, Newsweek, ProPublica, HuffPost, Nieman Reports, ESPN Magazine, among many others. Dr. Pixley is a founding member of Authority Collective.
Sheila Pree Bright – Fine Art Photographer
Sheila Pree Bright is an acclaimed International Fine Art Photographer who portrays large-scale works that combine a wide-range knowledge of contemporary culture. She is known for her series #1960Now, Suburbia, Plastic Bodies and Young Americans. She is an ambassador for Lecia Camera USA.
Irina Rozovsky – The Humid
Irina Rozovsky makes photographs of people and places, transforming external landscapes into interior states. She has published three monographs and exhibited at the MET, MoMA, and other international museums. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York Times Magazine, Zeit, among others.
Danielle Scruggs – Getty Images Picture Desk Editor
Danielle A. Scruggs is a picture desk editor for Getty Images and a freelance photographer and writer based in Chicago, Illinois. Most recently, she was a news photo editor at Vox. Previously she was a Senior Photo Editor at ESPN’s The Undefeated and Director of Photography at the Chicago Reader.
Aline Smithson – Founder/Editor-in-Chief, Lenscratch
Aline Smithson is a visual artist, educator, and Founder and Editor-in-Chief of LENSCRATCH, a daily journal on photography that has given exposure and opportunities to thousands of photographers. She curates and jurors exhibitions for a number of galleries, organizations, and magazines.
V. Elizabeth Turk – Savannah College of Art & Design
Turk’s work is in the collections of the High Museum of Art, the Polaroid USA Collection, MOCA_GA in Atlanta, and Il Museo Palazzo Riso, Palermo, Italy–and in numerous private collections. As a professor of photography she has for decades mentored students at the Savannah College of Art & Design.
Jennifer Yoffy – Publisher, Yoffy Press
Jennifer Yoffy is the founder/publisher of Yoffy Press and the host of the podcast Perfect Bound with Jennifer Yoffy. She was formerly the creator/director of the non-profit Crusade for Art and the owner/director of Jennifer Schwartz Gallery.

If you’ve never participated in a photo portfolio review (in-person or virtual), then this is the workshop for you!

Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) Portfolio Reviews return virtually with opportunities to discuss your work with industry leaders from galleries, museums, publishing, journalism, and across the commercial, editorial and educational spectrum!

Virtual reviews bring the great benefit of eliminating time + travel barriers; ACP is excited to deliver an incredible photography portfolio review experience to you. No matter if it’s your first review, your first virtual  review, or you want to fine tune your virtual review experience – this course is designed to help you prepare.

Jennifer Yoffy will walk you through the experience so you know exactly what to expect. She has participated in portfolio reviews for 12 years and, most recently, in 5 virtual review events. Lynsey Weatherspoon will offer her unique perspective as a Reviewee, bringing fresh insights from both sides of the (virtual) table.
